Photograph of a cloudy and misty scene. A lake that is pale blue grey fading into a sky of the same colour. A woman wearing a light blue jacket stands on the edge of a small piece of land jutting into the lake. She is next to a tall tall tree. She looks reflective, small and held by the tree .

You may want to work with us if...

  • You find yourself appeasing, pleasing, or protecting others at your own expense.
  • You wonder why you sometimes act in ways which don't feel aligned with what you think and believe.
  • You feel that you are short changing yourself, but don't know how to stop this.
  • Your personal desires and wishes sometimes feel off limits and out of bounds.
  • In spite of success you may struggle to feel joy, pleasure and pride.
  • You are 'on track' or doing well in some parts of your life but feel like you are walking through mud in others.
  • It may feel as though whatever you do, it is never enough....
  • Your sense of worth feels conditional on your achievements, what you give others, what you look like.

You have had enough of
   being stuck in
    these loops...

Our Therapy Service

Overlapping beautiful leaves mingling from a few trees photographed from the underside. The colours are dark to light green and yellow. Lots of light filters through from above.

We use Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) together with our bespoke Women's Experiences Questionnaire © to look at how social and familial factors have impacted on your sense of yourself. With huge compassion, we help you to understand, how your life has come to feel limited and a source of distress and frustration.

We then work together using a trauma-informed, structured and intensive process to change this, and support you towards growth and flourishing.

We may also when relevant for you use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. This is an  active therapy that involves practical steps and actions that will help to move you towards the life you want to live. It is a values-based approach, which means that time is spent exploring what is important to  you, and how you want to live your life in the face of difficult times.
